Compliance and Quality Check

The quality check can include the following tests:

Manual test of firmware implementation with USB bus analyser (Ellisys)
Test of firmware compliance with Command Verifier tools (USB20CV + USB30CV) provided by USB Implementers Forum
Interoperability test as defined by USB Implementers Forum, covers compatibility with USB host controllers (UHCI + OHCI + EHCI + xHCI), cables, and external USB hubs
Test of the Windows driver implementation and firmware implementation with Microsoft WHQL (Windows Hardware Quality Labs) test benches.
Test of Windows device drivers with Microsoft Driver Verifier
Assessment of quality and robustness of the existing driver and software installers

Thesycon creates a report with all test results. Thesycon also provides comments and instructions on how specific problems can be solved. Thesycon will discuss problems and possible solutions with the customer.

WHQL Tests and WHQL Certification Services

On behalf of the customer Thesycon prepares and executes WHQL certifications for customer devices.

The WHQL certification includes the following services:

assistance in the certification process and its carrying out
reviewing of .INF files and one driver package created by customer
running of required test benches and will prepare the Driver Submission
providing of detailed problem reports and suggestions for solutions if required
creating of the documents required to submit the driver to Microsoft
Thesycon will submit the driver package and accompanying documents to Microsoft WinQual.
